„Almost 15 years ago Thomas Meinecke (FSK, radio-DJ, writer) discovered the life of Germans and Czechs in a part of Texas and their music, that appeared to be quite different from the cliché of German traditional music. The CD “Texas Bohemia – Polkas, Waltzes, Schottisches” was an outcome of this trip and became a cult album in a way. In this “hidden America” traditional sounds from Central Europe suddenly became interesting popular music for us.The album was followed by “Texas Bohemia 2:Slow Music”
Now number 3 is on it’s way. Thomas Meinecke has visited the area again, this time with film maker and Grimme Award winner Peter Schubert.
