Trikont was founded 1967 as part of extraparliamentary movements in a time, in which the desire for change became more and more urgent. That led quiet necessarily to popular music, cause no other artform is more expressive, sucessfull and potentially democratic. Nowhere elese can the people express themselves more intensely and direct. The first record was called: „We liberate ourselves“
