F E H
FEH transport trip hop of the 1990s unstrained and elegantly into the 2020s. The three, who have been friends for years, start their project FEH in December 2021. It quickly becomes clear that, in addition to their love for trip hop, there is also a need to at least musically process the madness of the last two years and thus get to the bottom of it. The first song sketches are created and sung directly into the phone as a memo and sent around. This way of working leads to homogeneous and unique results quite quickly, which comes as a complete surprise to the three of them. While listening to their first album „Right On Song“ you will dive into the trip hop scene of the 90s: Portishead, Massive Attack, Tricky or even Moloko appear in shadowy form. But FEH manages to turn all these influences into its own sound. You might name it a band journey or a reflection of one’s own youth, a reminiscence of the 90s, but nevertheless and maybe foremost it´s an adult departure into a new „old“ sound. Honestly, call it why you want, it just sounds good!
